The Knead-it Pad™ was created with one goal: to support your cat’s natural kneading instinct in a way that feels right, for them and for you.

At its core is our proprietary insert, engineered to deliver a precise balance of firmness and pliability. This is intentional. It is designed to mirror the consistent resistance cats experience during early kittenhood when kneading for comfort. Unlike traditional blankets or overly soft beds that collapse or bunch-up, the Knead-it Pad maintains its structure, creating a stable, instinct-aligned surface that cats naturally prefer.

The result is a more satisfying kneading experience that feels familiar, calming, and deeply intuitive.

Wrapped in an ultra-soft, premium faux-fur cover, the surface is designed to replicate the sensory texture of a mother cat’s coat, enhancing relaxation while encouraging natural behavior. And because safety matters, our fabric meets strict EU standards, ensuring it is free from harmful dyes and chemicals.

The Knead-it Pad is not a substitution for kneading during nursing and should never be used as a replacement in lieu of their mother. We recommend waiting at least 12 weeks after the birth of a kitten to introduce the Knead-it Pad unless they are bottle-fed.

Note: Please remove the hang tag and safety pin before use and washing.

IMPORTANT: REMOVE THE PAD’S INSERT BEFORE WASHING

We know convenience is important, which is why the outer cover of our Knead-it Pad is made of high quality fabric suitable for machine washing separately on a cold, gentle cycle.

Although the insert cannot be washed, the perforated, breathable structure of the coconut fiber and natural latex (plant derived) promotes the formation of a favorable microclimate, and both the coconut coir and natural latex exhibit antimicrobial properties. Their natural properties are also dust mite resistant.

The inside layer of the outer cover is lined with a durable, canvas-like layer of 100% cotton which not only increases durability from claw penetration, but also helps to protect the insert against light spillage or those not-so-lovely hairball regurgitations. However, since the cover is not waterproof, it’s recommended to immediately remove the insert from the outer cover after any spillage or liquid contact to prevent absorption into the insert.

When the pad’s outer cover isn’t in need of a full wash, we recommend a quick swipe of the lint roller, handheld vacuum, or a simple shake to remove loose hairs and dirt.

P.s. Since our products are packaged in the same workshop where we cut and sew the fabric, you may need to give your Knead-it Pad a quick shake before use to remove any loose faux fur that settled during the crafting and packing process.
